Cari sostenitori di FightTheStroke, è con piacere che torniamo a scrivervi per un aggiornamento sui nostri progetti.
Come sapete, fin dalla nascita di Mario abbiamo sperimentato con successo le potenzialità dei neuroni specchio per migliorare le abilità motorie e negli anni abbiamo continuato a studiare per integrare questa conoscenza in una metodica utile a tutti i giovani sopravvissuti all’Ictus. Non l’abbiamo fatto da soli, ma grazie alle famiglie e agli esperti della nostra rete siamo arrivati a disegnare una soluzione che partisse dai bisogni del paziente.
E’ nata così la piattaforma Mirrorable, che ha ricevuto in questa prima parte dell’anno i finanziamenti necessari per completarne lo sviluppo e la fase di test con i giovani pazienti: grazie alla Fondazione Vodafone e alla Fondazione OTB la nostra missione sta per realizzarsi. Un progetto che è piaciuto anche alle aziende Boehringer Ingelheim e Philips che ci aiuteranno a replicare e scalare la soluzione Mirrorable su altri segmenti e altri mercati.
Inarrestabile la nostra attività anche sul fronte del supporto quotidiano ai piccoli pazienti: è nata così la maglietta da piccolo medico, che permette ai bambini di aumentare la propria autostima e aiutare al tempo stesso altri bambini. Ecco di cosa si tratta, un piccolo gesto ci aiuterà a crescere: acquistatela o regalatela qui.

Dear FightTheStroke supporters, it’s a pleasure for us to come back to you and update you on our projects.
As you might know, since our son Mario was born we tried on him the real potential of mirror neurons to improve his motor skills and during the years we kept on studying an ideal method, useful for every young stroke survivor. We were not alone, but thanks to families and experts in our network we came up with a patient centered solution.
That’s how Mirrorable was born and in this first quarter we received first funding useful to complete product development and testing stages: thanks to Vodafone Foundation and to OTB Foundation our mission will be fulfilled. This is a project that also gained the traction of other big companies as Boehringer Ingelheim and Philips who will help us on scaling and replicating our solution on other market targets and other places. We also keep on fighting for our little patients on everyday life challenges: that’s how our ‘little doctor’ t-shirt was born, to gain their self-confidence and help other kids in need.
