Partecipa con noi a ‘Un Fight Camp da Pirati’, un’esperienza unica in crociera didattica con la Fondazione Fightthestroke
Sembra quasi un sogno ma sta per avverarsi la possibilità per 8 ragazzi e ragazze della Fondazione Fightthestroke di salire a bordo di Nave Italia, che con i suoi 61 metri è il brigantino più grande (e più buono) al mondo.
Un’impresa che sembrava impossibile fino a qualche tempo fa ma che ora ci permetterà di abbattere il pregiudizio sulla disabilità e l'esclusione sociale delle persone con una disabilità di Paralisi Cerebrale Infantile, soprattutto nel periodo estivo.
Il nostro collaudato team del Fight Camp, accompagnato dal ricercatore Eugene Rameckers della Maastricht University, Department of Rehabilitation, si trasferirà per la sua quinta edizione sulla Nave Italia, per seguire i ragazzi nella traversata dal porto di Civitavecchia a quello di La Spezia, dal 2 al 6 Agosto 2022.
Ecco di seguito tutte le informazioni necessarie per partecipare insieme a noi alla special edition ‘Un Fight Camp da Pirati’:
Quanti saremo: la nostra squadra sarà composta da un gruppo ristretto di 14 persone, a causa delle limitazioni sanitarie ancora vigenti, e ci divideremo nelle cabine assegnate a 6 adulti supervisori e 8 ragazzi e ragazze, dai 10 anni in su. Daremo la precedenza ai giovani con Paralisi Cerebrale Infantile e altri disturbi del neurosviluppo, in grado di deambulare in autonomia, provenienti dall’Italia o dall’estero, a chi ha tutte le vaccinazioni in regola, a chi ha un buon rapporto con il mare o ci dimostrerà in fase di iscrizione di riuscire ad integrarsi al meglio in un gruppo di pirati di tutte le taglie, i colori, le abilità. E sarete tutti nostri ospiti.
Dove viaggeremo: ci imbarcheremo al Porto di Civitavecchia Martedi 2/8 alle h11 e sbarcheremo al Porto di La Spezia Sabato 6/8 alle h11. Navigheremo perciò insieme all’equipaggio della Marina Militare sul tratto di costa Tirrenica e Ligure più interessante dal punto di vista naturalistico. E chissà che non incontreremo anche i delfini in questa bella stagione!
Cosa impareremo?: durante i cinque giorni di navigazione saremo a pieno titolo parte dell’equipaggio e risponderemo agli ordini del comandante rispetto alle attività quotidiane: se ci sarà da issare le vele, isseremo le vele! se ci sarà da pulire i bagni, puliremo i bagni (sempre con due mani)! Sarà un’occasione unica per sperimentare insieme un nuovo modello di educazione, formazione, riabilitazione, inclusione sociale, vita indipendente e terapia. Insomma, torneremo a casa con un brevetto da veri Pirati.

PS: purtroppo quest’anno non potremo portare con noi tanti tutors, ma c’è ancora la possibilità di partecipare come istruttori di sostegno all’altra attività estiva promossa quest’anno, all’interno del PlayCamp a Milano.

Per realizzare la propria mission TTNI mette a disposizione un grande veliero armato a brigantino-goletta, Nave Italia, condotto da un equipaggio della Marina Militare, e un’equipe di educatori esperti della metodologia Nave Italia che seguono lo svolgimento dei progetti nelle diverse fasi di attuazione.

a unique experience on an educational cruise with Fightthestroke Foundation
It seems almost a dream but the possibility for 8 boys and girls of Fightthestroke Foundation to board Nave Italia is about to come true, which with its 61 meters is the largest (and best) brig in the world.
A dream that seemed impossible until some time ago but which will now allow us to break down the prejudice on disability and social exclusion of people with Cerebral Palsy, especially in the summer.
Our proven Fight Camp team, accompanied by researcher Eugene Rameckers of the Maastricht University, Department of Rehabilitation, will move for its fifth edition on the Nave Italia, to follow boys and girls in the crossing from the port of Civitavecchia to that of La Spezia, from the 2nd to the 6th of August, 2022.
Here there are the information you need to participate with us in the special edition 'A Pirates’ Fight Camp':
How many will we be: our team will be made up of a small group of 14 people, due to health restrictions still in force, and we will be divided into cabins assigned to 6 adult supervisors and 8 boys and girls, aged 10 and over. We will give priority to young people with Cerebral Palsy and other neurodevelopmental disorders, able to walk independently, coming from Italy or abroad, to those who have all the vaccinations in order, to those who have a good relationship with the sea or will show us in the registration phase to be able to integrate at best in a group of pirates of all sizes, colors, abilities. And you’ll be hosted by us, for free.
Where we will travel: we will embark at the Port of Civitavecchia, Lazio region, on Tuesday 2/8 at 11 am and we will disembark at the Port of La Spezia, Liguria region, on Saturday 6/8 at 11 am. We will therefore sail together with the crew of the Italian Navy on the most interesting stretch of Tyrrhenian and Ligurian coast from a naturalistic point of view. And who knows we won't also meet dolphins in this beautiful season!
What will we learn?: during the five days of navigation we will be fully part of the crew and respond to the captain's orders with respect to daily activities: if we need to hoist the sails, we will hoist the sails! if the bathrooms have to be cleaned, we will clean the bathrooms (always with two hands)! It will be a unique opportunity to experience together a new model of education, training, rehabilitation, social inclusion, independent living and therapy. In short, we will return home with a real Pirate's license.

The project is made possible thanks to the support of Tender To Nave Italia Onlus, a Foundation set up by the Italian Yacht Club and the Italian Navy to promote the sea and navigation as tools for education, training and therapy. To realize its mission, TTNI provides a large brig-schooner armed sailing ship, Nave Italia, led by a crew of the Navy, and a team of educators expert in the Nave Italia methodology who follow the development of the projects in the different phases of implementation.
